Cynergy:
Cynergy was formed in early 2006 on a cold, snowy weekend. The team was created from open trials where players from the NSPL bashed heads for two days solid under the watchful eyes of Pete “Robbo” Robinson and Chris “Syd” Pelling. Robbo had kindly come along to help with the selection process and offer some insight in to the Pro game, whilst Syd was there as the team owner to make final selections based on Robbo’s advice. The objective was to create the NSPL Factory Team from the best talent within the league, to train them and then take them to Europe and slowly build a new UK powerhouse team.
Since then, Cynergy has faced many challenges and overcome most. The roster has changed significantly over the last two years, but we still retain many of the original team and will always stick to our guns and only accept players who have been involved with the NSPL, proving that the league is as good a place as any to encourage the development of talented players and teams. Cynergy was lucky enough to be offered sponsorship from Proto Paintball and the Cynergy and Proto brands go hand in hand, with every member of the Cynergy family proud to shoot the Proto Matrix and exclusively use Proto clothing and equipment. To compete at the highest level you can, you need the best paintballs in the world and the team’s only choice was therefore Draxxus Paintballs; again, we consider ourselves very lucky to have their support.
Cynergy was formed to compete at the highest level possible and therefore concentrates most of its efforts on training for and competing in the Millennium Series, Europe’s top paintball series. Our objectives are to climb the ranks of the Millennium Divisions slowly but surely, to prove our worth along the way, and to ensure that Cynergy is a forced to be reckoned with and a strong presence within European competition for many years to come. It’s a long term project, and one that demands faith, commitment and a true passion for tournament paintball from each of the team’s members.
The team has an open-doors policy when it comes to new players looking to join our tireless campaign. If you love paintball, are prepared to put it before all else in your life, and truly want to be the very best paintballer you can be by working damn hard at it, then contact us for a trial – we will be happy to hear from you.
Cynergy Academy:
Originaly conceived as the feeder team for the Millennium squad, Cynergy Academy was formed in early 2007 through another trials day. The team set its sights high imediately, buying an NSPL Div 1 spot from South Coast Quake and aiming to win that division in the team's first season together.
As time progressed, it became obvious that Cynergy Academy was more than just a feeder team for the Millennium squad as the two teams grew closer and closer together, helping each other achieve their objectives and creating a true family unit. Cynergy Academy is the domestic image of Cynergy, competing on UK soil and striving to be the best.
The team has a less demanding training regime, but is no less passionate about being the best they can be. This attitude took them on to achieve their goals and win the NSPL's Division 1 in their first year. Having achieved this, the team now plans to play the Paintball Association league in 2008, bringing on new challenges and taking the Cynergy name to new areas of the country.
As with the Millennium squad, Cynergy Academy are always looking for new players and would be happy to hear from you if you would like to find out more about the team.
