Recruitment Drive:
Cynergy and Cynergy Academy are holding an Open Trials day on the 12th of January and any player who would like to try for a spot on either team is welcome to attend. Once the dust has settled, we will be selecting new players for our 2008 rosters.
The trials will be held at UCZ Paintball Park, just outside of Newton Abbot in Devon and will consist of a morning of drills and then an opportunity for you to show us what you are made of in 5-Man scrimmages. All players must be ready to go on-field by 10am and we will be finished by 4 in the afternoon. At the end of play, we’ll approach those players we want to invite in to the team and give out details about the team. If you’re lucky enough to get asked to join, you can ask you anything you want to know and then let us know if we are the team for you.
The green fee for the day is £10 and we are limiting paint to two cases per player @ £25 a case.
Next season, Cynergy Academy are planning on slugging it out in the X-Ball format run by the PA. The team will also play Campaign Cup and maybe one other Millennium event. If your skills impress us enough for us to offer you a spot on the Millennium squad, then you’ll have the opportunity to really commit to the sport, take up a stringent training regime and play all Millennium events in 2008.
